My responsibilities in managing the property inspection business that I own with my husband have challenged me to build upon my formal quantitative analysis training through practical organizational structuring and problem solving. While my duties of creating and maintaining our company databases and actual inspection procedures keep my computation skills sharpened for direct application, I enjoy the diversification of ideas and resulting innovation that comes with stepping outside of the traditional engineering framework. And working with both numbers and people has provided me with a depth of perception that I have found to be highly effective in communicating with both pupils and clients alike.
