Certified Tutor

I am passionate about learning different languages and cultures as well as teaching them to people who are interested. I am a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, and I have learned English since I was a little child. After taking Japanese as a second foreign language in high school, I came to the US for higher education. I recently graduated from Princeton University with a M.A. degree in Near Eastern Studies. While completing a master's program, I took classes on Persian, my second language of the Middle East after Arabic, and was in charge of running the weekly Arabic dining table. Prior to graduate school, I spent a semester in Doha, Qatar, pursuing studies of advanced Arabic. While I was an undergraduate student at Duke University, I tutored elementary and intermediate Arabic, and later became the teaching assistant for the advanced Arabic class. I am very enthusiastic about sharing my learning strategies and experiences with others.
