I'm a recent graduate currently working as an actuarial analyst, which makes me slightly more fun than accountants. I consider myself a proficient teacher in anything math related. I also dabble in finance and economics and I think I'm pretty well rounded education wise, so I am willing to try my hand at just about anything. I speak and read Spanish fluently. I love seeing the light bulb turn on in people's heads. Helping someone understand or master a concept is just a cool feeling. I have taught Spanish classes and I enjoy studying with my classmates. Anytime I know something that would benefit someone else, I love to share. Most recently I worked in the Stats Department as a TA for R and SAS programming. I held lab hours where students could come in with any question and I'd work with them on their projects. I believe that any type of teaching needs to be catered to the student to achieve maximum comprehension. I do my best to help my students learn, rather than lecture to them. Outside of academia, I love sports and outdoor recreation. I play basketball at least once a week and enjoy hiking, climbing, boating, you name it.
