Certified Tutor

I am currently a sophomore at Tulane University studying political economy . In my free time I enjoy playing basketball, listening to music, reading, and writing (I also work on the school paper). I began tutoring as a junior in high school when I helped a teammate raise his ACT score to play football in college. Since then I've tutored family members and high schoolers around the New Orleans area during the school year. I tutor because I like the feeling of working with people through their challenges.
A common culprit when a student is feeling unable to improve in a subject is that they can't figure out exactly what it is they don't know. My goal as a tutor is to help students find where these conceptual gaps are hiding, and show them how the missing knowledge relates to areas they want to improve in.
