Certified Tutor

I am a sophomore at Fordham University, attending Fordham College at Rose Hill. I plan to achieve a degree in both applied mathematics and computer science when I graduate in May 2021. The topics I prefer to tutor are all based in math, ranging from prealgebra to calculus.

I enjoy tutoring because of the tougher classes I took in high school. In my precalculus, AP Calculus BC, and AP Chemistry classes, I was the go-to student to answer any questions, keeping my friends on track during lectures and homeworks, all while making them laugh amidst tough course loads. Those classes helped me to become more charismatic and diligent, allowing me to improve on my awkward personality in my early high school career.

There are two main reasons why I enjoy tutoring. Teaching others allows me to shed light on the numerous values of learning. Education gives us a firmer grasp on reality and greater social mobility. We owe our advancements to education and the work ethic that it promotes. The second reason is that tutoring allows me to refresh my knowledge and confidence in the subject material.

For me, schooling is about improvement of one's work ethic. Schooling challenges one to practice the fundamentals in a topic to further understand it, despite how tedious this practice may be.

Some of my favorite interests are playing the euphonium, building computers, listening to K-pop, playing video games, Italian culture, and watching anime. I would also say that I am a fan of soccer, but Italy didn't qualify for this World Cup, leaving me very sad.
