With a natural aptitude for social betterment, problem-solving, and service, it is my intent not only to evoke change, but to eventually oversee an entire facility for people with learning deficiencies, behavioral issues and lack of adequate family support. One of the driving forces behind my determination to do just that, was the assumption that because I was raised in a small, low-income area, that my dreams and work ethic were supposed to be miniscule and subpar as well.

Instilled in me at a very young age was that, "We are blessed to be a blessing" and I carry that quote with me everywhere I go. I grew to understand that giving back to others, whether it was physical, spiritual, or financial was much more fulfilling, in many ways, than the sacrifices giving can sometimes require.

I am committed to closing the achievement gap. I am passionate about Education - you should be too!
