Certified Tutor

I have many years of experience as a teacher, tutor, and youth activities leader, including 3 years in special education and 3 years as an online ESL instructor to children living in China, ages 4-13. I am passionate about literacy and have volunteered as the 4th grade reading club leader and 9th grade book club leader. My 9th grade book club was the recipient of an education foundation grant. Other experience includes YMCA youth activities leader; curriculum creator; preschool teacher; published author; and award-winning papier mache artist. I enjoy reading, volunteering, attending sports and music events, and traveling. I currently volunteer 10 hours per week as an adult ESL instructor for the Williamson County Literacy Council. I also serve as a voting clerk for my precinct and as a commissioner for the Leander Public Art Commission. My proudest accomplishment and greatest joy is being a mother.
