Certified Tutor

I have a true passion for learning and a zeal for science. I have a PhD in Medical Pharmacology with a training background in cardiovascular and renal physiology and a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences. In the recent years, I have discovered my gift and love for teaching. I taught at the University of North Georgia for three years. This past fall, I made the decision to take some personal time to spend with my growing family. I quickly realized how much I missed teaching. I am excited to work with students again using the Varsity Tutors platform.

I believe that the best way to truly understand biology is to apply your course material to every day life. I want to answer the question, "why do I need to learn this?" for you. Enthusiasm is the best tool a teacher can utilize to lead you to success, and I hope I can get you just as excited about your studies as I am! I like to employ a variety of study methods, including case studies, flash cards, and illustrations because I realize we all learn differently. I will be sure to spend enough time with you to determine what methods will lead you to achieve your goals.
