Certified Tutor
My name is Sally Ann and I look forward to supporting your learning of American Sign Language (ASL). I have fifteen years of experience teaching in K-12 settings and twenty years of experience teaching ASL to undergraduate, graduate, and community college students. I have presented at local, statewide, and national level meetings, on ASL and education related topics, and have offered workshops and professional development training to interpreters and educators. I currently tutor beginner and more experienced signers, both in-person and online. Whether you're just starting out with learning ASL, or if you're already in an ASL program and need support with your learning, are trying to obtain certification, or are even an experienced professional who needs support in certain skill areas, please feel free to reach out to me.
I hold Professional Level Certification with the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) i.e. this certification demonstrates the highest level of knowledge and skills in teaching ASL. I am a Certified Interviewer of Sign Language Proficiency and hold the Signing Naturally Units 7-12 Teacher Training Certificate. In addition, I am also a certified teacher in the state of Ohio.
