Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of New York University, where I got a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama with a minor in creative writing. Since graduation I've been primarily working with film and TV studios in the world of book adaptation. Essentially, this means I've been making a living off reading and evaluating writing for the past two years (not a bad deal at all for a nerd like me!). I have recently been admitted to Columbia University's Master of Fine Arts program for fiction writing, and will be starting there in the fall of 2018. In the past I have taught middle and high school students in California (where I'm originally from) in all manner of writing techniques and styles. I'm most passionate about helping students learn to express themselves through writing, and with demystifying the worlds of literature, history and college essays.
