Certified Tutor

I have been working in education since 1998. I have been a substitute teacher, full time elementary school teacher, and a literacy coach for Los Angeles Unified. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at UC Santa Cruz and my Multiple Subject teaching credential from CSU Los Angeles. I love working with children especially with reading and writing. I am knowledgeable in the common core standards for K-5 and love to see students be successful in the classroom and develop a love of learning. I have experience working with gifted students, students below grade level, students with IEPs, and everyone in between.

My hobbies outside of teaching and tutoring include reading, art, poetry, jewelry making and listening to music.
