I have been a tutor for most of my long career. I find history utterly fascinating. It is not just dates in a dusty history book. History has things to teach us, if we would only listen. The "behind the scenes" issues that caused a certain situation to occur are not usually just black & white. When your parents or grandparents talk about what it was like growing up for them, that is history. When you watch the evening news, that is history in the making. Hold on tight and take the ride with me to ancient Egypt, or to England at the time of the Tudors, or to the first Continental Congress or to where we are today. It will be a wonder-filled ride.
