I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Asahi

Certified Tutor

Hello! My name is Asahi , I am a senior Chemical Engineering major at Texas A&M University, minoring in Business and Japanese. I was born in Japan, lived in Singapore for 7 years, then moved to the states when I was 10. I speak English and Japanese, and little bit of Spanish.

Trust me, if I can get to where I am today, you can too. Growing up I was never the "smart kid" and I struggled in classes but once I figured out that the public school teaching style just wasn't my style, things started looking up. You don't have to be "naturally smart" like many people say, to do well in school. Its all about figuring out other ways to look at it and trying to have fun with it. Additionally, I wondered all the time about why we were learning the things we were and I remember getting answers like "because i said so" from my teachers. Well, I'm here to show you how its relevant and how people in the real world use the knowledge. My goal here is to help you with subjects that are "not so fun" in a fun way, so contact me for details!
