I am a graduate from the University of Washington, where I earned a Bachelor of Science double majoring in Biochemistry and Biology. While I tutor a broad range of subjects,
I am most passionate about the sciences, specifically biology and chemistry. The sciences are my favorite to teach because even after learning some of the most basic
information, some of the most exciting current events in science can be understood as well. I believe that if a subject is relevant and interesting to a student, they will be
more eager and excited to learn.
While a student, I learned through peer study groups that the act of teaching is one of the best ways to learn and master a subject. I employ this strategy when teaching,
as having a student attempt to teach back the material is an invaluable technique when learning to solidify understanding and find ones weaknesses. I also believe that a solid grasp of the fundamental ideas in a subject are
essential in learning, as I see learning as a continuous process where knowledge builds upon itself.
In my spare time, I like to stay active through lifting weights. I also am an avid gamer enjoying competitive games like League of Legends.
