Certified Tutor

I am a graduate from the University of California at Santa Cruz. My degree is in Community Studies. My graduate and post-graduation independent studies, field studies and or training subjects include: film, theater photography, healthcare, and acting. I am a native Spanish speaker. I have over 20 years of clerical and computer literacy experience.

I have spent my time over the years being of service in different community work settings, working with people of all ages, from newborns to elderly.

I enjoy working with people and on creative projects. My earlier research, study, and mentoring experiences came from working with the librarian in my high school, followed by my first job as a librarian clerk at the public library where I grew up. I have worked as a teacher assistant and as a lead summer camp counselor for middle school students. I studied child growth and development and then worked in a childcare setting for children ranging from six weeks old to ten years of age. I have also trained and taught staff in my other professional work that included working for human resources and parks and recreation.

I am primarily offering writing, editing, spelling, Spanish conversation, and computer literacy.

As your tutor, my goal is to help make your learning enjoyable, to show you ways of looking at your subjects in ways that you may not have thought of before, and to help you break it all down in the ways that best suit you and your learning styles and needs. I am a natural and intuitive mentor and teacher, and I look forward to working with you.
