Nicholas: Surprise tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a French tutor, currently completing my undergraduate studies in French with a K-12 teacher licensure.
My exposure to the French language started when I was young, as my family is French. But It wasn't until high school that I began seriously studying it (I've grown up in the states). Since then my passion and knowledge of the language and culture have only grown; I am now very excited to have the opportunity to share it with students!
Collectively, I have spent about a year of my life in the south of France- living, working and going to school. Therefore, I believe I can offer students my knowledge of the language while also providing vital cultural knowledge and history. This is not limited to France, however, as I've spent an extensive time studying Quebecois linguistics and have a similar understanding of that as well.
To me, the most important aspect of learning a second language is the multi-faceted exposure to it. I hope to offer to my students extensive conversational and contextual practice, along with film, music and television recommendations. I can tutor at all levels, be it beginner or advanced, and would be more than comfortable adjusting my teaching style to the individual student.
Do not hesitate to contact me! I am here to help anyone who is willing to improve their French.
