Lacey
Certified Tutor
I am a cheerful, friendly PhD student in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University, and I want to help you succeed in math and statistics! As a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, I instructed two biostatistics discussion sections for undergraduate public health majors. As an undergraduate at St. Olaf College, I worked as a statistical consultant for other students and faculty, and I was a teaching assistant to a Computer Science course where the students learned R and Python. I also have experience mentoring children and teens from my years as a Girl Scout camp counsellor.
As a tutor, I believe that I could be the most beneficial to graduate and undergraduate students in statistics or introductory probability courses and to students prepping for the math section of the GRE. I would also be very excited to teach anyone and everyone the basics of R programming, and open-source statistical programming language.
I am open and excited to work with all kinds of students, including those with learning disabilities or math anxiety. We can spend our time together creating a comprehensive study plan for your success or just going over mathematical concepts.
