Certified Tutor

I am a current first year undergraduate student at the University of Virginia looking to pursue a B.S. in Biochemistry. Throughout high school, I tutored students in math ranging from algebra through calculus through the school's Math Honor Society. I also tutored at a local community center and worked with students from elementary to high school, helping them with their homework and assignments. While I enjoy tutoring a broad range of subjects, tutoring in math and science fields are my favorite, because often, misunderstanding comes from a lack of conceptual knowledge that can easily be learned. I encourage my students to strive to work hard in school, but also to make sure to take time to relax, and have fun. As a college student, I have learned the importance of keeping a good balance on school work, club activities, hobbies, and having your own free time to spend with friends and family. Outside of school, I enjoy running to de-stress, playing my flute and piccolo in the band, and finding things to do in my community.
