I am currently a junior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Economics with a minor in Applied Statistics. I have been tutoring basically my whole life, as both my parents worked full time leaving me to be the one helping my younger brother and sister with their homework. I enjoy tutoring a wide variety of subjects, but I am definitely the most passionate about Math and Business classes. I also love tutoring for Standardized Tests! I spent most of the summer helping prepare my younger brother for his upcoming ACT, and we saw nearly four full points of improvement or more for each section. In my opinion, the most important part of education is confidence. My tutoring philosophy revolves around taking a step by step approach to help instill as much self-confidence in the student as possible. I have found that when a student truly believes they can figure out a problem rather than being intimidated by it, they are much more likely to be successful. Outside the world of academia, I love hiking and the outdoors in general; and, growing up in Virginia, I am a HUGE Washington DC sports fan (Go Nats!).
