Michelle
Certified Tutor
I received my undergraduate education at Wellesley College and completed my doctorate at USF in Florida. I have experience tutoring a variety of subjects, in particular I have tutored all levels of math from elementary school through high school. In graduate school I was also a teaching assistant for a language science class for undergrads and a math/physics course for grad students. I have also tutored both subjects of the SATs to juniors/seniors in high school. I especially love tutoring math because I have been passionate about math and improving math education for many years. Also, many students struggle with this subject and I love breaking it down for them and helping them achieve understanding and confidence. As a tutor, I use many different methods until one works for the student. I will work with them until they feel comfortable with the subject even if they initially thought it was impossible. Outside of academia, I enjoy traveling and trying new things. I most recently traveled to Guatemala. I am currently studying Spanish, and I can understand that learning something new can be quite a challenge. I have also recently started running and playing tennis.
