Hi there! My name is Shanese Mathis, and I am excited to lend my knowledge and expertise to Varsity Tutor's students. My qualifications include a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a certification to teach kindergarten through sixth grade (mathematics, reading, writing, and science), and a reading and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement. I also work for Educational Testing Service as a certified SAT Writing Test scorer, and will begin scoring the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California in 2018. I have been teaching in the public school system for three years. I love to teach, share information with students, and am passionate about patiently helping students gain confidence in subjects that they are struggling to grasp. I look forward to tutoring you! :-)
