I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin and I share similar philosophies on the art of teaching. It is not simply enough to give someone information if they don't know what to do with it; rather, it is imperative to make the experience as immersive and personal as possible. That is what I aim to do as your tutor. I don't want you to remember what to write on a test, I want you to learn the subject so that you might be able to understand why it works and how it can be integrated in all of your other subjects of learning. I will give you the tools to take a complicated question and divide it up into bits and pieces, making it a much simpler task.

Since high school, I have taken the liberty of helping out any friend who needed it, and engaged in structured tutoring sessions through my National Honor Society Program (high school). In college, I have been a frequent visitor to Teaching Assistant hours to get help on my own work, while also assisting those who are struggling more than me. As a result, I have had plenty of experiences helping and teaching students. I am particularly proud that all students under my instruction have gone on to produce results in the upper echelon of performance for the classes. I have taught ages from middle school (6th grade) up to college level students. If you require help in one of my listed courses I would be happy to serve you.

I look forward to working with you.
