I am going into my sophomore year at the University of Richmond. I took Calculus 1 there during my freshman year of college and I really enjoyed it. I anticipate receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. In addition to having a passion for business, I have always loved mathematics. I have always been a "numbers guy" and math has always been my favorite and best subject in school. Throughout high school, I only took Honors and AP math classes. I took Geometry Honors my freshman year of high school; I took Algebra 2 Honors my sophomore year; I took Precalculus Honors my junior year; and lastly, I took AP Calculus AB my senior year of high school. My phenomenal senior year math teacher, Mr. Moreng, inspired me to tutor other students because of how much I loved his class and how helpful he was during class hours and also outside of class with the YouTube videos he created for students on his page "mathcamp321". I used the videos on his page whenever I struggled in math class and I recommend other motivated students do the same. In my spare time, I love to lift weights, play basketball, and watch the NBA. I am an avid fan of the Boston Celtics! I also enjoy reading in my spare time. I recommend the following books: Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and Grit by Angela Duckworth. Those are two great page-turners. In conclusion, the motto that I live by is you can achieve anything you want with hard work and determination.
