I am a Chico State graduate who has a BA in History and a Single Subject Social Science Credential. I taught for two years in a private school, and have about 6 years experience working at both the high school and middle school levels.

My focus as a teacher is to create a well-rounded student who can think critically, handle problems, and can participate in a modern society in a lasting a meaningful way.

My classroom has always been one that has been focused on independent learning. I push my students to invest in themselves, and I try to occupy my time as a mentor who encourages and pushes my students to be the best they can be.

I am passionate about learning, and seek to better myself daily. While I love history, I am passionate about all subjects, and believe that it is important to be a well-rounded individual. I love science, reading, creating, being physically active, and exploring new concepts and ideas. I enjoy teaching and creating new content for my students that will pique their interest for learning.

I hope to bring a smile to my student's face, and use humor frequently. Learning can be fun, sometimes you just need a good teacher!
