Certified Tutor

I am a junior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a B.A. in music and minors in both Theatre Arts and Political Science. I taught beginner piano and music theory for three years before attending college. Additionally, I tutored peers throughout high school while in the National Honors Society. I volunteered as an assistant music instructor at Horizons Day Camp and was a theatre instructor at a local day camp. Although music and theatre account for most of my studies in the past two years, I have a vast interest in nearly all subjects. Writing and literature has always been a passion of mine, in terms of literary composition, not just music composition. I was on the staff of my high school's newspaper for four years and was its Editor-in-Chief in my final year. Reading is one of my favorite past times. I truly enjoy teaching and tutoring. Helping a student or peer reach his or her educational goal is an incredible journey for both parties.

I believe that large steps of improvement take time, patience, and commitment. At the same time, I know that learning should be enthralling and fun, not boring or dreadful. With the right match of a tutor and student, learning will be simple.
