I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Lawrence: Egham tutor

Certified Tutor

I am a sophomore at Vanderbilt University in the College of Arts and Sciences, and I hope to graduate with bachelor's degrees in chemistry and English.

I like to work with motivated students. I understand that, while test scores are an insufficient measure of a student's capability, high test scores can open a lot of doors in the college application process, and I want to see those doors open for my students. As I understand it, the best way to improve test scores is to do as many practice problems as possible. However, in standardized-test-taking there are many ways to work smarter, not harder. I like to work with students on pattern recognition and breaking down problems to their smallest component parts to make each problem more intuitive than the last.
