Certified Tutor

I received my education in SC at York Technical College. My concentration was on Business and Accounting. I have worked with mostly children and young adults with my tutoring, my own children being my main focus for many years, my middle son graduated with highest honors from high school with a 4.3 GPA which I am especially proud of. I tutor business, high school accounting, most English things including ESL/ELL as well as Public Speaking, Writing and Basic Computer Literacy.
I enjoy tutoring all subjects but English is my favorite because it is just something that has always come easy to me and accounting because I work as an accountant on a daily basis for my "day" job.

I believe that everyone is teachable, and that anyone can learn, that we must sometimes find a "different" way for people to learn if the conventional methods don't work. I do not believe we all learn in the same way and I am flexible in how I teach someone depending on how I see their style. I also believe in having some fun with it. Being bored to tears never helped anyone accomplish anything.

I have a lot of hobbies, I grow plants, all kinds, hooked on Orchids at the moment. I paint and write novels and poetry when the mood strikes and actually have a book of my poetry published. I also do paranormal investigations and have been for 20 + years.

In a nutshell, I am a dedicated honest person and I like to work hard but have fun while I do it. I genuinely like most people and love helping people when I can.
