With experience working from elementary to high school, college and then at university, I have a very strong interest and passion in pursuing a teaching career. It was really wonderful to interact with the young generation of the nation not only in the classrooms but also outside the walls of traditional institution in a diverse and changed environment to enhance and improve the learning experience for my students.
My first classroom teaching experience (Since 18th Aug, 1989) was in elementary school teaching basic mathematics to the students from grade third to fifth for few months and then for the next years, grades sixth to eighth. I was a Math, Science and English teacher. I also worked for several summers camps of different schools. I have teaching experience in both suburban and urban school districts.
I particularly enjoyed working with children with special needs. My careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that my young students could grasp, which was rewarding for all three of us: me, my students and the school. From April, 1993 to March, 1994, I taught English and Algebra to high school students (Grade 9th and 10th). Managing the different abilities among my students proved a difficult, but gratifying, challenge. I tailored activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating less-skilled English speakers.
From 26th March, 1994 to 22nd Sep. 1996, I taught Economics (Micro & Macro) in Commerce Colleges (Wah & Scholars). Then my exceptional reputation took me to higher levels and I became a university faculty (from 1st Nov, 1996). I took classes of Micro and Macro Eco, Mathematics for Economists, Human Resource Management, Compensation Management, Training & Development at MBA and BBA levels. During this time, I also completed my MBA in IT and then my MS in Human Resource.
