Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Virginia Tech . I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and my Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Culture. Given my academic background, I am well versed in both the hard sciences and liberal arts, which gives me the ability to tutor in many different subjects. I also have extensive experience tutoring for the SAT and ACT, both one on one and teaching weekend courses at high schools across the country.
I love to teach and help my students achieve their goals of academic success as well as growing holistically and being able to apply the lessons they learn while studying to other areas of their lives.
I strongly believe in a learning experience that is tailored for the individual student and takes advantage of their strengths and works to build up their areas of weakness. The building up of confidence via skill acquirement is very important to me. I want my students to not only perform well in the subject I tutor them in, but become a better student and person overall, ready for whatever challenges face them on the road ahead.
