Todd
Certified Tutor
With a full military career behind me, I look forward to serving students throughout the United States in the subjects listed on my profile. I have helped out classmates with various subjects over the years, and started working as a paid tutor after graduating from college. I enjoy tutoring students and will continue the activity until recalled to active duty later this year.

What is your teaching philosophy?
The student knows how to best learn, and the teacher is there simply to assist as needed.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would ask them what they would like to learn and how they would like to learn it.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I would prompt them to examine each item on their own, serving as an aid to learning only when they are unable to figure out the answer on their own.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
My own passion for a subject makes it possible for a student to remain motivated for as long as the body will allow them to remain focused.
