Certified Tutor
A graduate of New York University, Ms. Facciponte holds a Master of Arts Degree in Dance Education through the Arts and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. In addition, she holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with a Dance Emphasis. Linda holds 2 permanent New York Certifications: Elementary Education (Nursery - 6th) and Dance Education (K-12). At SUNY Brockport, Linda studied with Garth Fagan, director of the Bucket dance company and choreographer of the Broadway Musical Lion King. She has studied extensively in the following techniques: Cunningham, Horton, Graham, and Jose Limon. She has developed and taught dance programs in New Orleans, Jacksonville, Rochester, Syracuse, and New York City. In addition to being the Artistic Director of the Studio, Linda is also Adjunct Professor at LeMoyne College, was a dance teaching artist with the Institute for Aesthetic Education, dance directed at Summer Fame, and was guest choreographer for the Gifford Family Theater.
Mrs. Faccipontes high standards and nurturing spirit are the driving forces that place personal growth and spiritual wellness above all else at the studio and in all of her endeavors. She has promoted many dance students into the dance world and personally assists students with academic placement into colleges, universities, and conservatories.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My philosophy is in my mission statement. It is my belief that all students learn differently, and it is of the utmost importance to tap into their learning style.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Meet the student, and find out personal interest and hobbies.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Encouragement , confidence-building activities, as well as teaching the student how to engage themselves in the process of learning.
