What is your teaching philosophy?
Teaching is a passion that is inside the teacher's soul. Her/his goal is to teach one student one thing new.

Get to know the student as an individual. Favorite color, books to read, movies, and music.

Break it down to small, manageable parts.

Teach them parts of speech and sounds of words.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Ask them how school was, what each class did, and about any tests or quizzes for the day/week.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Encourage them to be successful.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Mini quizzes, go over the notes, and bring them back to the beginning of the lesson.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Self esteem.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Ask for test scores and see what they understand.

I look ahead to what they will be covering.
