Certified Tutor

I graduated Hunter College of the City University of New York with a major in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. I joined the NYC teaching Fellows Program in 2001 which launched my teaching career. It was there that I fell in love with teaching. I believe that all students have the ability to learn as long as the adults around them are committed, accountable, and compassionate. My favorite subjects to teach are English Language Arts, Reading, and Writing, but I am equally comfortable teaching Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science. I have also been successful throughout the years with test preparation and have extensive experience with teaching English Language Learners, as I am ESL certified. I am currently an Assistant Principal in Yonkers and tutor children as a way to stay connected to teaching and learning.
