Since 1992, it has been my pleasure to cultivate the minds of Americas youth. As an Alum of Teach for America, I am committed wholeheartedly to shrink the achievement gap to a minuscule number. Most of the youngsters who become behavioral challenges in our classrooms are those who have acute literacy deficiencies. Before his untimely death, I supported celebrity national literacy spokesman Issac Hayes efforts to make America 100% literate. Over the years I have worked in urban public schools with pupils who were underachievers drawn by the lures of the streets. These youths in particular led me to complete a masters degree in Business Administration.

For a number of years I have been an entrepreneur, so I know firsthand what it takes to succeed in the marketplace. To that end I have developed career awareness and entrepreneurship programs for my pupils. The key to a thriving financial sector which supports our schools and neighborhoods is the cadre of educators we identify to shape future leaders. Mentoring leaders and teaching business education through my company www.ItzBiz.biz, I am confident that I would be able to translate those skills to helping Varsity accomplish their goal of being the premiere tutoring platform in the industry. Having taught students in California, New York, and Atlanta, I have a coast to coast prospective of what it takes to help youths excel.
