Certified Tutor

I have been professionally tutoring since I graduated from Clemson University with my Bachelors in 2012, and I enjoyed it so much that I have continued throughout my Masters program at The Ohio State University. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with a Chinese minor and a Master of Science degree in Ecology. I have worked with students ranging from 2nd graders through seniors in college. I have helped students in Biology, Ecology, Algebra, Statistics, and Mandarin, as well as helping students with general study and test-taking skills.

I love seeing things in new ways from my students perspectives and the challenge of helping each of them figure out the ways that they learn best. I most enjoy teaching Mandarin, middle school math, and study skills for students with challenges such as anxiety or ADD because these often challenge me to help students form new ways of thinking and connecting ideas.

Outside of tutoring, I like to think of myself as a typical nerdette. I enjoy comic book, cartoons, video games, and reading. Aside from reading Rocket Racoon, ruling Splatoon, and making pokemon quilts for my niece, I also enjoy hiking, martial arts, and photography.
