I graduated from Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS) cum laude in 2015 and I am currently an undergraduate student at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I plan on majoring in finance or consulting at the Goizueta Business School and also majoring in economics at Emory College. I am of Armenian descent and I speak Russian fluently at home; as a result, I am more than willing to engage in conversational practice with students of Russian!
As for my experience with the German language, I have been learning German for 8 years now through middle and high school as well as at the undergraduate level. I am well acquainted with German writing as well; also, German is very useful in a business setting and Germany currently boasts one of the strongest European economies, so I am excited to teach students about the language through that environment. So far, I have completed German at the 300 level and I have taken an business German elective. Aside from German in a business setting, I am more than willing to teach German grammar, sentence structure, conversational topics and the other facets of the language. Also, I completed and received college credit for the 2015 AP German Test and I am glad to walk students through that test structure and the associated curriculum.
In addition to foreign languages, I am also able to help students with various math topics. I have completed Algebra 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as Trigonometry and Calculus 1, 2, and 3 along with Multivariable Calculus throughout middle and high school. Additionally, I have taken for AP AB and BC Calculus courses and I received college credit for them, so feel free to ask me questions about those tests.
Lastly, I am available for tutoring in introductory economics. I took AP Macroeconomics in high school and received a score of 5 and I just recently took Microeconomics at Emory and I would be happy to help students in those courses.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Learning is all about pushing your intellectual boundaries. As a teacher, I have to identify these boundaries and assist students in expanding them. Teaching is all about academically challenging your students, but also knowing when to step back and reevaluate. It is a dynamic process that requires constant adjustment, both on the part of the teacher and the student, but when executed, it can yield extraordinary results.
