A Q&A session to understand the mind of the student.

By teaching how to think, not just solve problems using steps and rules. By teaching them to look at things and question them.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
By providing positive reinforcement and incrementally raising the difficulty level.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Break the problem down to its core and practice, practice and practice these fundamental steps.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Make them read out loud and them ask them about their perspective on the writing, which will be followed by a liberal Q&A session regarding their views.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Understand their minds and how it works. And then adjust teaching methods to cater their style.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
MAKE IT RELEVANT TO REAL LIFE!!!

Provide them with follow up exercise.

Start easy and never use negative words.
