My interest in mathematics dates back to my first years in school while my passion for technology and computer science began budding in high school. I always excelled in math and science classes, propelling me further and further through advanced courses, even testing out of classes on occasion. After my first year of high school in an experimental education system, my family moved from California to New York. I convinced my new school to place me in a math class two years beyond my peers. To their surprise, I was the top performing student - a sophomore performing better than seniors. Around the same time, I began falling in love with technology. My world changed after receiving my first computer and smartphone. I started building computer systems and modifying software.

When I began my undergraduate career, I was sure of my direction. I finished calculus my first year and learned basic programming. This wasn't enough. I focused my studies on a wide variety of applied mathematics ranging from linear algebra to combinatorics to statistics, all of which reinforced my intense interest in the subject. After finding a particular affinity for mathematical statistics, I delved deeper. Meanwhile, Android development filled my free time. I became so engrossed in the mobile technology community, I was offered a job in software and hardware diagnostics for Samsung Mobile products.

Towards the end of my bachelor's program, I decided to learn formal programming. The languages I worked with include Matlab, LabVIEW, C/C++, Java, Python, HTML/CSS/JS, SAS, and R.
