My name is Leila (Lay-La), I'm a fourth year math teacher at a Charter School in Milwaukee. I graduated from Syracuse University with my Bachelor in Mathematic in 2016 and my master in Education from Marquette university in 2018. I love to help you reach your goals! Helping others has always been a passion of mine. I have experience teaching and tutoring anything from algebra to Calculus!
Further, I am also a native French speaker and have experience teaching and tutoring French! I love learning languages and I have taught myself Spanish!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I teach because I love to learn. I believe I can learn as much from a student as a student can learn from me.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By recommending and crafting multi-media resources for independent study including texts, audio, internet and video.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
-Relating the subject to the student's life, interest or hobbies.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Through challenging and praising the student when necessary.
