Certified Tutor

I was born and raised in Tampa, Fl. I went to the University of Wisconsin (Platteville) and earned a bachelors of science in Bio-Health, while graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. I also played football for my university and became a first team all-american, as well as earning Capital One Academic all-american honors.

I worked as a tutor while in college so I am very comfortable and familiar with the tutoring process. I have earned a certification from Tutorlingo, which is an agency that offers classes on how to become an effective tutor. I enjoy math and science classes, I especially enjoy tutoring chemistry because I too struggled with chemistry and understand exactly what you are going through.

I understand what it feels like to try and overcome academic challenges, therefore I understand qualities that a tutor must exhibit, such as patience and good listening skills. I would describe my tutoring style as simple, patient, and thorough. I like to make sure the tutee understands the material before we move on to more subject matter. I also believe in explaining "why." I believe the why can always be explained especially when complex concepts can be broken down to simpler more meaningful concepts. Lastly please share information on what type of learner you are, and how you learn best so I can cater to your specific learning style.

A little information about me, I am an avid collector of sneakers, I enjoy playing any and all sports, love going outside, and to the beach. I also like to travel and recently returned from assisting a medical laboratory in south Brazil.
