I am a Materials Science & Engineering major with a unique background and a passion for math, science, and engineering.
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University in 2010. After working in my field for five years, I decided to return to school to pursue a degree in engineering. I am currently a student at the Clark School of Engineering at University of Maryland.
My favorite subjects are math and physics - I love problem solving! I feel that math and science are exciting and should ignite everyone's interest. Along with this enthusiasm, I bring patience and humor to my tutoring sessions.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I am a strong believer in using analogies. Analogies are a wonderful tool for translating complex or difficult to grasp topics into accessible, concrete concepts. I have found this philosophy particularly useful in Physics.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In my first session with a student, I would try to accomplish three things before beginning any lessons: 1) Find out what the student needs help with or is trying to accomplish 2) Find out where the student stands in meeting this goal 3) Learn what sparks the student's interest or excites their curiosity
