I owe much of the academic success I've enjoyed to the teachers I had at Smyrna High School, where I graduated as Valedictorian in May 2013.I took several AP classes which pushed and helped me to become a National Merit Finalist. After graduation from high school, I was awarded a full-scholarship to Lipscomb University, where I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering. I hope to use my studies to help those in the 3rd world with the necessities we take for granted.
As a tutor, I believe the most important thing I can do for you is to push you to think on your own. I've tutored students before who simply wanted me to do their work for them, but that will not help you to learn at all. If you want to become self-sufficient, I will help you reach your goals. I tutor many high school and college level math/science courses including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Physics. I have attained a 3.85 GPA in my 5 semesters at Lipscomb.
Outside of school, you will often find me working on my car, photographing nature, or fishing. I cultivated a love of fixing things early on in college, and I refuse to pay a mechanic something that I enjoy doing myself. Getting outside is very important to me, especially since I tend to be cooped up in my dorm during the school year. Photography and fishing allow me to experience the alone time in fresh air that I need.
