I am a communications professional with many years of experience teaching and working with writers and public speakers. I have been a journalist, consultant, and entrepreneur, which has allowed me to work with entertainers, athletes and politicians. I believe I have the ability to use the knowledge I have acquired in both my academic and professional careers in order to work with students on their skills development. I want to partner with students to help them achieve their goals in fun, relaxed ways.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I look at teaching/tutoring as a partnership. I want to work with someone to maximize their skills without dictating. Whether it's writing essays or public speaking, it's your words and thoughts. I can help you express them in a clear, concise way. We will work together to help you improve.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
It's all about getting to understand the student and what their goals are. We will review strengths and weaknesses. I want to get to know them as more than just a student. Learning is about trusting someone has your best interest at heart.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
It goes back to working with them in a partnership. I can dictate to you and you will learn, but if we can work through it together you can trust yourself to think through it beyond that teaching moment.
