Certified Tutor
If you need help with English, reading, writing or ACT prep, I'd love to tutor you! Whether you're struggling with multiple choice grammar or reading comprehension tests, can't figure out where to start on an essay, or just need someone to help you polish up a final draft, we can work together to help you succeed.
I graduated from Baylor University with a degree in journalism in 2012. Since 2013, I have worked as a freelance tutor, helping students with their English, reading, and writing skills. I am happy to work with students of all ages, and have experience working with students at the elementary, high school, and graduate levels. Currently, I am earning Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification, which I plan to complete by the end of October 2015.
If you asked me to pick a favorite tutoring subject, I would say reading, because there are so many great books to read and because talking about literature can be so engaging. I want to help my students love reading and writing, too. These subjects don't have to be terrifying or frustrating. I believe that all students can succeed if they have tutors and teachers who will guide them, believe in them, and patiently encourage them.
Apart from academia, I love traveling, reading, and being outdoors. I may be from Texas, but my favorite days are snowy ones. I also love art and photography, and spend my free time helping my mom with a craft business she owns.
