Certified Tutor

I am a recent college graduate from Wake Forest University. I am currently working to complete my Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification through the University of Toronto.

I am an excellent tutor because I am friendly, encouraging, and patient, and I have a passion for teaching high school students. I have first-hand knowledge of the rigor of AP courses, and I understand the stress that accompanies the PSAT and SAT exams. I am dedicated and hardworking, and I had academically successful high school and college careers. At Wake Forest University, I majored in anthropology. This background gives me an advantage as a tutor as it has helped me gain a perspective on the world that has given me the ability to perceive and and approach different places and peoples with a culturally relativistic and ethical stance. I understand that many factors can contribute to student success, including environment, teaching method, learning style, and outside encouragement.
