Greetings! My name is Brenda Corley. I am originally from Chicago, IL, but I currently live in Indianapolis, IN. I am a high school English teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools and previously I have tutored students for GED preparation, ESL and writing composition. I enjoy interacting with people from different cultures and learning about other countries.
I believe we are all capable of accomplishing anything we put our minds to do. However, sometimes we need a little guidance or extra motivation and that's what I am here to do. I desire to empower you to be your best and inspire you to reach your academic goals.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is that anyone can learn. I believe the key to learning is finding a way to help the learner connect in a personal way to the subject and making it relevant.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I like to find out the student's learning style and the types of things that interest them as well as those things that are frustrating for them when learning.
