Hola! I was born in Mexico City. I am a graduate of UNAM in Mexico City where I received my Bachelor of Arts in the “Teaching of Foreign Languages”.
Little I knew, when I decided that teaching was my real passion, that knowing other languages would be the key that would open doors in my life. After working as an English teacher, I was promoted to become the principal of a school in Mexico where I worked for 18 years. Then I started training teachers in new techniques in the teaching process.
Destiny took me to Israel, where I started teaching English and Spanish and at the same time learned Hebrew. Finally landed in USA, where I have been teaching Spanish to Americans and English to new immigrants who, by the way, are amazed with how much they enjoy a class and how fast they can achieve goals!
How do I do this? Well…. The teaching-learning process has to be a unique and memorable experience. We usually learn fast when we are interested in what we are learning, and THAT is the secret of acquiring knowledge!
Teaching Spanish should be as enjoyable and interesting as going out with friends! Grammar and Spelling when learned through songs, games, food and culture make a lot of sense! Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening in Spanish become easier skills when used for a real purpose other than passing a test! The Spanish speaking world opens in front of our eyes broadening our horizon and enriching our lives with different cultures, customs, foods, believes and traditions! When we learn a foreign language, the world seems to become bigger, we develop an urge to know more, to visit those places, to make new friends, and is then that the doors of our lives start to open to new horizons!
