Education is the gateway to success in today's world, and that is why I value it so highly. Getting a college degree prepares you immeasurably for the workforce and for many different facets of life that lie ahead. This is why I believe it is hugely important to make help readily available to students who require it. This is why I decided to become a tutor.
I have been helping friends and classmates with schoolwork for over five years, and I have grown to understand the impact that even just a little help can have on a student. I am passionate about teaching and helping people to understand things that I worked hard to learn. Personally, there are very few greater joys than seeing someone successfully use a concept that you taught them. For a tutor, encountering this joy is a regular thing; it is a major factor of my admission into the field.
I understand first hand the benefits that come along with being tutored, as I have been on both ends of the interaction many times. Throughout this past school year alone, I can't count the amount of times I asked my professor, a tutor, or a friend for help. Requiring assistance is inevitable when pursuing any type of education, and one must not be afraid to seek it.
