"I don't just teach students what to learn but how to learn it."

When I first heard the word philolexian, I realized that it is the best word I can use to describe myself. From the ancient Greek, it means "lover of discourse" which I also translate to mean "lover of learning." As a philolexian, I believe that I can learn just as much from my students as I can teach them. However, there is nothing that excites me more than to inspire and guide students on their path to academic success and achieving higher education.

A little bit about my background. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota and my Masters in Education degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. My past research has focused on the psychology of student learning, study skills, peak performance, and career development. My current interest is focused on E learning and instructional design and it's role in higher education.

I have been an English and Psychology college instructor and career specialist for over 15 years teaching courses and workshops for high schools, colleges, non profit and government organizations.

Just keep in mind that if you really try and get the most out of tutoring, it will first blow your mind and then change your life forever! Also, there are NO stupid questions. I am looking forward to getting to know you.
