Certified Tutor

Tutoring has been a part of my life since early high school when I was a peer tutor in high school level math for Mu Alpha Theta (a math honor society). I then joined the Spanish Honor Society and became a peer tutor for them. In college, I have worked as a Spanish tutor for the Waltham Group, which involves tutoring local high school students.
Regardless of the subject, I greatly enjoy watching my students work hard and experience the feelings of accomplishment which accompany success. I love being able to work together with a student as a team, both looking to reach an ultimate goal. When the goal is reached, it is extremely gratifying for both the student and the tutor!
I am very adaptable in my teaching style and am able to shape it to that which works best for the student. Having been a high school student only a few years ago, I understand the challenges a student must conquer in order to understand a subject, and I am also aware of the pitfalls which may make it more difficult for one to do so. It is my aim to prevent these pitfalls, and make the process toward understanding as smooth and easy as possible!
